Trekking valley of flowers to Bhyundar Khal - Gamsali - Malari
It is a very memorable, exciting, beautiful and most thrilling high altitude trek from Hanumanchatti to Gamsali valley via the famous Valley of flowers. The trail passes through ice, snow, moraines, rivers, streams, high pasture lands and fabulous mountain scenery. Fundamental knowledge of mountaineering is a must for this trek. At certain places rope has to be fixed to cross deep crevasses. At a few places recurrent ice falls can cause some trouble.
The actual trek starts from Govindghat Trek 20 km from Joshimath and 283 km from Rishikesh. Essential provisions, rations, porters, guides, etc can be hired from local tour operators based at Joshimath. Inner line Permit is required for this trek and can be obtained from the sub Divisional Magistrate, Joshimath. Permit is also required from the Divisional forest officer, Nanda Devi National Park, Joshimath which can be obtained after remitting requisite fee, documents etc,documents etc.

*Advisory:
- Being monsoon, weather in Ghangharia, Valley and Hemkund could be rainy and cold. It is recommended that clients carry suitable warm clothing and protective gear for rainy season.
- Clients are advised to consult their physician and take suitable preventive medication (if prescribed) as a precaution for high altitude sickness
- Himalayan Abode is a Homestay in Garhwal Himalayas
- No television and Intercom in the rooms. Television and Library at The Oryza (roof-top dining area)
- Check-in time is 2 pm and check-out time is 12 noon
- Rooms are tentatively blocked for upto 3 days from the receipt of your e-mail/booking request. The bookings are confirmed only after full payment of room rent in advance for the entire duration of stay
- The rates quoted are for room only, per night basis
- Each room can accommodate upto 2 adults and 2 kids (below 5 years) OR maximum of 3 adults
- Extra floor mattress and extra blankets are available at extra charge
- Heaters and electric blankets are available free of cost only during winters
- The Homestay is equipped with inverter support
- Our kitchen operates only during regular meal times, morning 5:30 to 10:30pm.
Price Includes
- All land transfers in air conditioned private vehicle (Toyota Innova – 1 vehicle for 5 pax) Ex-Dehradun or Ex-Haridwar basis as per itinerary
- 05 night accommodation in deluxe rooms on double sharing basis (2N in Himalayan Abode Homestay,Joshimath and 3N in Nanda Lokpal Hotel, Ghangharia). Single supplement will be charged extra.
- All meals (06 Breakfast, 06 Lunch, 05 Evening snack and 05 Dinner) as per itinerary
- Entry tickets for Valley of Flowers
- Trek leader and naturalists fees for a fully escorted trek with fluent English speaking local trekking guide (1 guide for 8 pax)
- Hire charges for porters/mules for trekking soft luggage (1 piece per client)
- Insurances for the guide and porter
Price Excludes
- Single supplement will cost additional INR 8,500 for the trip duration
- Travel Insurance or any other kind of insurance(Trekkers are advised to obtain applicable insurance on their own)
- Costs and expenses for medical treatment in case of evacuation or in case of any medical condition or emergency or otherwise for any reason
- Hire charges for additional porters or mules if separately hired for extra personal luggage or personal ride
- Charges for Helicopter ride (if any) between Govindghat to Ghangharia and back (INR 7,500 per person, per ride)
- Charges to carry camera etc into Valley of Flowers
- Charges for evening sightseeing in Joshimath
- Any accommodation, travel or transport outside of the above itinerary for any reason. Accommodation at Dehradun or Haridwar can be arranged at extra cost
- Meals other than B,L,D as indicated in the itinerary or charges for mineral water, other beverages or drinks
- Any expense of personal nature or any gifts, tips or donations
- Any drinks, tips for the guide, porter, driver, etc
- Any other cost or expense which is not specifically included in the price inclusion

Cancellation policy
- If cancelled before 15 days of start date – 85 % refund
- If cancelled within 15 days to 11 days of check-in – 50% Refund
- If cancelled within 10 days of check-in date – No Refund
- No refund of costs / any compensation if activity on any day is aborted or cancelled due to extreme/unfavourable weather conditions, keeping in mind safety of the clients. Trip leader’s decision on this will be final and binding on clients
- No TAC is payable if bookings are cancelled. TAC will be paid / deductible for activity aborted/cancelled
